Trichocereus bridgesii Species Plant
Species Trichocereus bridgesii specimen 17" tall by 2" in diameter, has a large white nocturnal bloom with yellowish back petals. A large columar cacti Trichocereus bridgesii can grow up to 15'+ feet in height and 1 ft+ in diameter. It has bluish-green stem growth with 4 to 8 ribs. Brownish to honey colored spines. An excellent landscape cacti choice as a background plant or border plant with its contrasting stem color.

Common names; Bolivian torch cactus. Among the indigenous populations of Bolivia, it is sometimes called achuma or wachuma, although these names are also applied to related species such as Trichocereus pachanoiwhich are also used for their psychedelic effects.
More info; Chemical analysis of some variants of Trichocereus bridgesii have shown it may include some of the most potent of the psychedelic Trichocereus species. A Montrose form of Trichocereus bridgesii is the 'Penis Plant'. The Montrose variety 'Penis Plant' is most often labeled as T.Bridgesii's Syn. Echinopsis lageniformis-(Montrose).
